Whereas, Brenda Wilson is an anchor-business owner in Perry's historic downtown district; and

Whereas, Ms. Wilson is the owner and faithful steward of the Blair Building at the corner of Main and Jefferson Streets in Perry; and

Whereas, construction of the Blair Building began in 1905 and was completed in 1910; and

Whereas, Ms. Wilson owns and operated O'Quinn Pharmacy in the Blair Building; and

Whereas, O'Quinn Pharmacy is one of the oldest pharmacies in the United States and the oldest business in Perry; and

Whereas, O'Quinn Pharmacy is a traditional pharmacy specializing in compounding, personalized service, and healing; and

Whereas, O'Quinn Pharmacy has served multiple generations of Taylor County families around the clock, through good and bad economic times, war and peace, and

Whereas, O'Quinn Pharmacy celebrates its 100-year anniversary Friday, December 2, 2011; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors that the Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce thanks and congratulates Ms. Wilson and O'Quinn Pharmacy for a century of service to Taylor County families, extends best wishes for the business' continued success, and encourages residents to visit O'Quinn Pharmacy December 2 to celebrate this historic event in the life of our community.

Adopted the first day of December, 2011 at the office of the Perry-Taylor Chamber of Commerce.
